Default English Premier League 18/12

Selections were pretty good last week, late goals a plenty making it tough. Derby matches also make it difficult and knowledge I'll thank you not to use the best football team in the world name in vain (showing my colours there!).

Birmingham v West Brom- West Brom have a better shape about them but like Birm have trouble putting the ball in the net. The 2 gls last week against Villa don't inspire confidence that they'll do it again. Draw.

Blackburn v Everton- Anyone for a 1-0 Toffee win?

Bolton v Man City- Bolton struggling though should win at home.

Charlton v Fulham- Similar level of talent, go score draw.

Chelsea v Norwich- Banker.

Middlesboro v Aston V- Boro are on a roll, Villa are slumping. 3-1 Boro.

Portsmouth v Arsenal- Portsmouth are decent at home but they were dismal at Anfield, a similar performance will see them well beaten. Gunners easily.

Tottenham v Southampton- Spurs are grinding out some results, so you have to give respect to them and Martin Jol. Although Redknapp is a good manager they don't have the talent on the park, especially missing Svensson in central defence. Home win.

Liverpool v Newcastle- Reds found it difficult to come down from the high last week but Newcastle had a late midweek game. Liverpool win.

Man Utd v Crystal P- Without Van Nistlerooy Utd find it tougher to score. Man Utd in a closer game than the table suggests.

Just for the heck of it:
  • Blackburn 1 Vs Everton 2 $8.50
    x
  • Chelsea 4 Vs Norwich 0 $10.00
    x
  • Man U 3 Vs Crystal Palace 0 $6.00

Possible return = $510.00 (not a bad return for a $1.00, if it gets up)

I know it is far fetched to assume that I could pick the correct score in three games let alone picking the three correct winners.

I have multi these three up as winners too, I just thought this might look a little more appealing in print.

I really like the way Everton have been playing this year they are somewhat of a suprise packet. They should win. Can Blackburn score a goal or more? What are your thoughts on this game?

Chelsea are a lock to win their game, it's just a matter of how many goals they will score and if they can keep their slate clean.

Man U where so unlucky not to win last weekend, I really don't know how they missed the goal so many times. Even without Van Nistleroy they should win at home but by how much and will they keep a clean slate too.

Damn should have put the house on Chelsea winning 4 nil only!

Man U did win by three it's just that they scored 5 and CP 2.

Blackburn 0 Vs Everton 0.

Poor performance by both teams. Everton had the most to lose from a draw, now falling a further 2 points behind Chelsea and giving Arsenal a chance to overtake them into 2nd spot.

Is that right. The score I saw was 4-2. Yeah, I thought a 3 goal win too.

I think Arsenal will draw tonight, ultimately handing the title to Abramovich.

Knowledge,
Yep, we'll get there eventually. As long as Gerrard stays. And we buy several top players. And Abramovich goes broke.
