Default Sport on Christmas Day?

What do you think about the fact that the NBA and NFL actually play matches on Christmas Day? Personally, I find it amazing and I can't believe it would EVER happen here. Then again, the NRL plays a game on Good Friday, so who knows?

Yeah, that was another thing that surprised me. The NBA playing on Christmas Day, but not on Christmas Eve??? The NFL plays on both days.

Did you realize there was a time when you couldn't get a bet on,on a Sunday?
And if you backed a winner on Saturday night, you had to wait until Monday to cash your ticket.
One of my most boring days is Xmas day.

I am not religious or totally against religion. But I usually spend Christmas day with the +1 and my family and Boxing day with her family (alternate each year). I do tend to snooze infront of the TV on Boxing day watching the test match however, usually after far too much to eat and drink!

I couldn't see myself at a sporting event on Christmas day, but I would like to spend the first day at the Boxing day test match one of these days.

As for the Seppos, they are heathens anyway so playing basketball and gridiron on Christmas day does not suprise me.

Good Friday is one of the two most important days of the year alongside Christmas Day. In fact, playing on Good Friday is like playing on Christmas Day. So we're already there.

For the Atheists, Agnostics & whatevers amongst us, you can always get up early on Christmas day & bet on US races, as it will still be the 24th over there.
