Paradigm
Supposing I had 10 blue marbles and 5 red marbles in my pocket.
And I were to dip into my pocket and retrieve a random ball. Is it true that I have twice as much chance as pulling out a blue marble than a red marble? If so,then a 5-4 animal has twice the chance of greeting the judge than a 7-2 animal. But if I drew the red marble it would not particularly surprise me. But if that 7-2 shot ran down the 5-4 chance I would suspect foul play! |

According to my calculations...
Quote:
According to my calculations 72.41% of lotto draws should contain at least one number between 1 and 8. This percentage falls somewhat short of "nearly every draw" therefore I suspect that either the game is rigged, or my maths skills are inadequate for this problem. |
