I prefer to bet place only on most occasions . I find this to be less stressfull but equally profitable . Does anyone know which bookmakers or tote pay the best % in the dollar . I am trying to find if any bookmaker gives best tote odds for the place.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Sportsbet pay best of the three tabs for metro races and best of Stab & NSW tab for provincial meets. Can make quite a difference to a low end place POT.

Shaun, I seem to remember that you are mainly a place bettor like me?? if so you have definitely been missing out there. I put all my win bets on Sportingbet (maxi-divi) and all eastern states place bets on Sportsbet (i.e. best of 3 totes) though for Perth (classed as provincial, for betting purposes) I put half on @ best tote ( i.e. they give you best of Supertab and NSW Tab) and half on at unitab divies , I find over time this gives me the best average. Just managed a reasonable profit today with Nemchinova, got half @ $2.50(nsw) and half @ $2 Unitab so average $2.25c compared to $1.70 Superatab.
