Default Form

I have come up with the following form factors.

Must have finished less than 2.5 lengths from the winner.
Won or placed at the distance +/- 100 mts
Starting between barr 1 and 7
Up no more than 2kgs on last start
Riden by a jockey in the top 5
Trained by a trainer in the top 5
Between $3 and $5

You the allcat 10 points for each factor, which becomes it's chance which is converted into a price.

This won't give many selections perhaps 2 or 3 a week.

What do you guys think?

benny

Default Do it!

Yeah mate, go for it. Hope you're not relying on it to finance your mystery novel though and further hope you have a decent bank and are prepared to lose an absolute sack full.

Wink

Am I a bad person for finding that pay out on Benny, funny and then finding the pay out on Privateer just as funny.

Humour makes it all worthwhile.

Benny I would say to you, you never never know unless you give it a go. But test with monopoly money first.

Good Punting

Hi guys,

I also think that Privateer has been a little too harsh in his comments.

Actually, my doctor has recommended I get a frontal lobot and I was wondering if I could find out where Benny had his done. :-)

Sorry, must fly - just out on day leave and have to get back.

Hi benny ,
What I know , is this will almost guarantee consistant short prices at ordinary S/Rs , not good, it will not fly longterm .

I feel one of the best ways for a punter to get in front, is to get hold of a source that has a 40-45 SR with its top 2 , then work out a method of splitting them.
e.g.Bet the one of the 2 that has either 1st of 2nd result in either of its last 2 starts.
If a draw , no bet.

Morning to all!!
I look at all "form" systems as a waste of time. Either the "good" form is so obvious that the prices are driven down to unplayable levels (even with a high S/R) or the "form" is suspect anyway (or arbitrary, which is worse). Plus, any system/selection method deliberately targetting LOW prices is a crazy compounding of the original error to boot.I also can't agree with Bhagwan either, unfortunately.
Longshots, at correspondingly low S/Rs, have always been the "preferred option" for me. By definition a longshot has got bad/insufficient/dodgy form and I say.....so what??? All sports are psychological (it's about the trainer in racing) and understanding this is where the big paydays come from. Consider why he/she is putting the horse in today's race DESPITE "bad form" and you may soon be well ahead of the game, Benny.
Should anyone doubt that outsiders are the "way to go" just observe the bookies pleasure when the boilovers arrive!!! While they are cheering most of the punters are wailing, so looking for a way to wipe the smile off their(the bookies) faces HAS to be the answer. You can imagine that $1000 plonked on the 66-1 shot, (if you've selected "wisely") 20 seconds before the jump is going to do THAT a lot more effectively than on the even money(or 2-1,3-1,4-1 etc) fav!!! Anyway, good luck, as always, in every close finish.
