Default Oaks

Just wondering what peoples opinions are of the Oaks. In particullar J'adane as I backed this horse weeks ago at $101.

My view of the race at this stage is that Tuesday Joy will be very hard to beat. I was at the track on Saturday and her win was very strong. She come from the back and was coming away at the line, looks as though the 2500m will suit, and she has been aimed at this race.

Miss Finland is interesting. As good a horse she is there are many negatives coming into the oaks, her campaign was planned on being over after the guineas. Will she stay the trip (she should as she is bred to and run out the cox plate well, however she is untried).

Anamato I thought was the unknown in the Wakeful as she was stepping up in distance and was unsure if she would run out the trip. I thought she done alright.

Then we come to J'adane. I beleive that this horse is going along we nicely. Was not all that far off Tuesday Joy on Saturday, Shinn said he believed he was on the winner at about the 200. Although Tuesday Joy was going home the better J'adane was also coming away from the field. The other thing is that there will be no Cheeky Choice in the race this time setting up the pace for Tuesday. J'adane ran on well from closer to the front with the steady pace.

For mine Tuesday Joy looks the winner. Very happy with the odds that I got on J'adane thought.

I will be having a bet on Tuesday Joy to cover my bet.

Let me know your thoughts.

mate i had bets on Rendzina and J'adane before saturday and like you am happy with the value i got on the latter. i don't think Miss Finland is a 2500m horse and both it and Tuesday Joy will be tired after long preps. i was a big Tuesday Joy fan before the start of this prep but i've since gone off her i just don't think she is a winner, even on saturday she looked as if she really didn't want to find the line. i don't mind j'adane and rendzina and also galant tess, and i think the race could be won by a longshot

I thought Tuesday Joy found the line well on Saturday. And you have to remember she would of won the Spring Stakes if she was not flattened.

I was very impressed with Rendzina on Cox Plate day, i was there also and thought her run was very good, however her run in the Wakeful didnt catch my eye and watching the reply her run was nothing to write home about.

I hope we are on the money with J'adane.

Hopefully Shinn can stay out of trouble. He is in barrier 1.
