Geez, even the last went off to a 17/1 shot. The Bookies must be whoo hooing for sure. I think the dead 4/5 must have had a bit to do with it. A shocker for punters.

Don Scott's market had a few of the races as very "open" according to his rated price of his faves for the following races:

Race 3 at $6.00 - the winner paid $30.70, the quinella paid $360 (Unitab divvies)
Race 6 at $7.50 - the winner paid $18.50, the quinella paid $700.
Race 8 at $6.50 - the winner paid $11.10, the quinella paid $20.

Its something I have randomly been looking at.
