When I Doubt....Take Them Out
Over the last 18 months I have witnessed many incidents where starters were "fractious" at the barrier and after an examination by officials they were allowed to start. Most failed to perform at their best!
My contention is: "WHEN IN DOUBT...TAKE THEM OUT..!"* I realize that country owners would incur excessive costs if their horse was scratched at the barriers but they could be suitably compensated by the relevant official body. When are we going to get a positive policy relating to this enduring problem? * At least the punters could get a refund/return of their money! Cheers. |

Agree was on a pacer last night that threw itself to the ground when they were circling before the start.Vet had a look and passed it fit to run, should have been taken out in my opinion it did lead but threw its head around a lot didnt want to be there.
When in doubt take them out. |
