Default Rowland, Rowland, Rowland......

The Lohnro freight train rolled on today with Rowland saluting at $15.30 on Uni tab. A monster training performance from Laing to have Rowland primed for a first up assault.

Red Pixie grabbed the cash at skinny odds to make it another profitable day for the Lohnro clan.

The numbers will be crunched tomorrow but it's a healthy P.O.T. for the first week of runners.

Mondays runners are:
PARKOUR ****: Coat Bairnsdale Race 8 at 07:10 Peter G Moody Jason Benbow
Won first up at Bairnsdale last prep. Is first up today at Bairnsdale. Moody trained. What did Shirley Bassey sing....."just another case of History repeating".......Has barrier 15 but can lead and go on with it. Don't think the price will be much over $3 though.

LONROSE ****: Southern Rose Cessnock Race 2 at 01:58 Dianne Lumsden Vicky Schubert (a0)
Looks a pretty ordinary type. My ratings have it way down in the betting. Record so far is 9 starts for a 2.3 length second in a maiden at Taree and a 5.4 length third at Musswellbrook. Hard to get enthused.....

An interesting tale so far. These Lohnro's seem to be something else. Firing out winners everywhere. I truly hope that I can find a profitable angle for all of us through this research. So far it's as easy as backing every runner.

The saga continues.

Default Summarise

One runner today, the Snowden trained Summarise. It was scratched last week due to a track downgrade. It's in a race with lots of first starters. On ratings its two previous runs have the horses who have raced previously covered so any danger would appear to be from one of the first starter brigade.
Summarise is favourite in the early markets. Unfortunately has drwan barrier 17. Hopefully Zahra can weave some magic and get him home.

Ouch....

Summarise goes down by an official 0.3 lengths beaten by the much improved Delon.

More in store today with 4 runners.

ERMINE ****: Zattanagh Canterbury Race 1 at 01:17 Peter Snowden Joshua Parr
Two solid runs at Gosford and Kembla grange sees it stepping it up to midweek city grade.

JEOPARDY ****: Emergency Canterbury Race 1 at 01:17 Peter Snowden Kerrin McEvoy
First starter. If I'm not mistaken I think the Dam Emergency produced the super handy horse Yell. Can anyone help me with this?

NOVITA FLASH ****: Info Miss Canterbury Race 5 at 03:40 Chris Waller Corey Brown
Great run last start to win at Rosehill second up from a spell. Waller trained, can it go on with it now?

WILLIGOBUNG ****: Insomniac Betfair Park Sandown Hillside Race 2 at 02:10 Peter Snowden Jake Noonan (a3)
Won last start after a freshen up. Will need to repeat that in a race that appears to have a number of chances.

Sorry for the delay in working out the P/L scenario for the last week. I'll get onto it as soon as I can. Busy period at the minute as you probably all can imagine.

One third from the four runners yesterday. It would appear that there is a real chance with Parkour running today after being scratched due to a wide barrier a few days back.

Mitchener **** Ottavia Ballarat race 4 Danny O'Brien Damien Oliver
Would win this on its run 3 starts back in a Moonee Valley listed race, however has not run up to that standard in two runs this prep. Has Oli on board which is a good sign.

Parkour **** Coat Ballarat race 5 Peter Moody Steven Arnold
Right in this. Barrier 2 and the Moody polish.

Best of luck!!

Default Mitchener to the rescue

Paying 5.40 for the win, Mitchener did the right thing and saluted on Christmas Eve.

Parkour finished 3.4 lengths off the pace.

Runners for Boxing Day are:

Rain in Africa**** Rainshine Caulfield Race 8 Colin Little Glen Boss
Second up over 1400m. Won over this distance last prep. Didn't flatter first up. Needs a dry surface.

Lohnroson**** Palme D'Or Newcastle Race 2 John O'Shea Josh Adams (a2)
Hasn't raced for over a year. Some handy form at Canterbury in it's previous 3 runs and by my ratings has easily the best previous form. Has had two trials leading into this. Is it fit enough?

Tromso**** Feelers Randwick Race 2 Chris Waller Rod Quinn
A win and a second placing from 3 starts. Is fit and in form. In a very competitive race.

Hope everyone is full of christmas cheer and indulged with family and friends on Xmas day. I hope the Lohnro troupe can provide more Xmas cheer.

Just one runner today with No Sugar representing the Lohnro clan.

NO SUGAR******** Latte BENDIGO Race 7 Mathew Ellerton and Simon Zahra Andrew Mallyon
Excellent run last start in a 100k Mares Hcp at Moonee valley where she ran into some trouble, according to racenet 'checked heels passing 600m, with cover on turn & into clear top strt. Worked to line well.'
In a much weaker race today, would prefer a dead track, as both of her wins have been on a dead surface.

Her record on good tracks is: 7:0:3:1.

Default Back in business

Hello all,

Sincere apologies for going awol for the best part of 5 weeks. My life has been full of drama and excitement, moving house with a weeks notice and starting a new business, so I've only just got back online. Hope everyone is having a successful start to the new punting year and let's make it a profitable one!!

Two selections today for Lohnro:

AFFLUENCE ****: Luxadora Sale Race 2 at 01:50 Peter Snowden Mark Zahra
A nice run last start in stakes company at Sandown. Will most probably be favourite and has the best exposed form. There are several first starters in the race. This is it's second ever run.
CELERO ****: Danislew Sapphire Coast Race 4 at 02:50 Nick Olive Brendan Ward
Won last start at Wagga. Is racing at the Sapphire Coast track so who knows. Is favourite in early markets.
Form reads:
Career:13-2-0-1 $23,800 Dist:7-2-0-1 Good:11-2-0-1 Dead:1-0-0-0 Slow:1-0-0

Best of luck.

Default Legalistic Goes ballistic

Hi all,

0 from 2 on Sunday the 7th of Feb.

Legalistic won Affluences race by a whopping 7 lengths hands and heels. Trained by David Hayes who knows how to train a good two year old.

Runners for Wednesday the 10th of Feb:

EIGHT THORNS ****: Southern Rose Kensington Race 1 at 01:52 Gerald Ryan Tommy Berry (a2)
Career:11-0-3-3 $57,230 Good:3-0-1-1 Dead:4-0-1-1 Slow:1-0-0-0 Heavy:3-0-1-1 1st-up:3-0-1-0 2nd-up:3-0-0-2
Has run a close second to the topweight. Hasn't previously run at this distance.

SUMMARISE ****: Material Girl Kensington Race 6 at 05:00 Peter Snowden Not Notified
Career:5-1-2-0 $14,075 Dist:2-0-1-0 Good:2-1-1-0 Dead:2-0-1-0 Heavy:1-0-0-0 1st-up:2-0-1-0 2nd-up:2-1-0-0 Won 1212
Has been consistent in VIC provincial races lately, would probably want to step it up a notch here.

LAUNAY ****: Eve in Seychelles Betfair Park Sandown Lakeside Race 5 at 04:00 Peter Snowden Mark Zahra
Career:2-1-0-1 $7,975 Good:1-1-0-0 Dead:1-0-0-1 1st-up:2-1-0-1 Won 1212
Won by 2 and a half lengths last start over 1212. Stepping up 200m today and there are 3 or 4 others with good claims.

I'll be watching them run today.
