Laying System with 1500+ Test Results
Here is something I found as I was playing with my website:
There were 22459 horse form lines in the database at this point in time. There were 1561 selections for the System There were 1294 which Lost (did not win race) for the System for a strike rate of 82.9% You had to pay out $1381.51 but brought in $1482.95 after 5% commission. This means a Profit or loss of $101.44 or a percentage profit/loss of 6.5% The rules are : Win Price < $10 Barrier >= 9 Don Scott Rank >= 2 Bet Type : LAY Thats a return of 10x the max lay value of $10 and a healthy 6.5% return after over 1500 selections. |

kumite, as per other thread I didn't apply too many rules but you can narrow don't the angles that are more profitable using the test your system form on my site.

Just and update on this method:
There were 27353 horse form lines in the database at this point in time. We update when we get time. There were 1894 selections for the System There were 1567 which Lost (did not win race) for the System for a strike rate of 82.73% You had to pay out $1703.75 but brought in $1799.3 after 5% commission. This means a Profit or loss of $95.55 or a percentage profit/loss of 5.04% Dropped $6 over about 300 selections which is not bad. A few extra filters could probably make this worthwhile. One filter I tried was Career Races >= 5 days to ensure we have an acceptable base rating for the don scott calculation and we ended up with : There were 1363 selections for the System There were 1154 which Lost (did not win race) for the System for a strike rate of 84.67% You had to pay out $1136.48 but brought in $1294.85 after 5% commission. This means a Profit or loss of $158.37 or a percentage profit/loss of 11.62% Thats 17.6 times the maximm liability of $9 (10-1). |

You need to add lengths beaten this is more important than the finishing position
