Default No Trading NSW Markets

Just been reading a heap of guys got phone calls from betfair and were advised if they continue to trade on NSW markets they will have there account closed.

You can back or lay but not trade.

These were selected accounts so it won't apply to everyone.

See this is a completely wrong move by Betfair.

You need one rule for all and for all markets.
So what they'll do is pay 1.5% of turnover to NSW and later VIC and anything else make a free profit.

Funny thing is... a trader cannot back and lay, but a punter can lay the field or dutch bet the field giving exactly the same turnover and profit percentage.
So what are they going to do next, stop people investing on more than one horse per race???

They really haven't thought this through at all.

Yes i agree, the same things are being said on the forum, what happens when all states and codes adopted the same turn over model, end of betfair in my opinion.

When they close down here i wonder if we will be restricted from using them for over seas events.

Has the rot set in or is it just me?
Very slow loading markets this morning and very scratchy when placing bets.
