Age Variances
Has anyone completed an analysis on the age of a horse (example 2yr old) and the birth month.
So when you are looking at a race that is restricted to 2 year old how many wins in the months born around June and July versus Aug and Sept. The same would go for any particular age with the cutoff being August. Cheers |

The breeding season starts on September 1st and gestation lasts between 320 to 350 days with an average around 340 days. Looking in the yearling sales catalogues, most foals were born September to November with outliers in August and December. Cheers

Wow Vortech,
That's a crazy approach but as they say in the classics.....'It just might work!' I do however advise you not to show this one to Barny, we might have a real hum-dinger on our hands!!

A new filter in the upgrade of ****.
Can't find much of an edge with this approach and limited data to support any testing long-term. |
