Might Be Interesting?
Out of interest I've looked at a neural method:
1) Default neurals except CF, TIM and DLR on zero. 2) No Maidens, all runners with a minimum of 3 starts. 3) 7 to 11 starters. 4) Bet 70% of the top runners in the resulting neural market. I've only been able to look at the last 3 days - there's been 29 races. Results (Unitab) for Tues 19 Feb. Win outlay $51 Return $68.30 Quinella outlay $138 Return $225 Wed 20 Feb Win outlay $84 Return $118.90 Quinella outlay $231 Return $435 Thurs 21 Feb Win outlay $59 Return $85.40 Quinella outlay $165 return $234 By my reckoning the total Win outlay was $194 and the return was $272.60 and, the quinella outlay was $534 and the return was $894. Fortunately I won a few dollars yesterday on this method. Three day's results and 29 races are far from conclusive but it might be worthwhile to pursue it. If I get time I'll post today's selections. MG, could you be a bit more explicit of how you decide this step "4) Bet 70% of the top runners in the resulting neural market."
At what level do you decide which are the 70% top runners in a market of eight runners in this field.Is it 70% of the field or what else? 5 Kuhreihen Vlad Duric 57.0 126.0 $3.90 1 3 Cavallo Nero Peter Mertens 59.0 116.5 $5.00 4 6 Aashiq J Noonan 56.0 116.0 $5.00 8 7 Messene Dean Holland 56.0 114.5 $6.50 2 2 Chile Express Matthew Allen 59.5 109.0 $8.00 7 4 Two Hills Darren Gauci 57.5 90.5 $11.00 3 8 Tower Of Lonhro Michael Rodd 56.0 83.0 $14.00 5 9 Smooth General Damien Thornton 55.0 72.0 $19.00

Hi, Kiwi.
Rule 3 should be "8 to 11" runners. Rule 4 should be 70% of the field...sorry for my lack of communication. And I should have explained that the maximum amount of selections per race is 6. If there's 8 runners the amount of selections is 8 X 0.7 = 5.6 = 6 selections. Unfortunately I haven't had time to do today's selections. Goulburn Race 2 was a qualfying race which I was able to bet, the selections winning the race and the quinella (and the trifecta). If I get time later this p.m. I will list the other qualifying races and their selections. |
