If only you could rely on the damn horse to put in every run it looks to have the ability just doesn't show it all the time.

Very much like a Thorn Park type horse one short sharpe sprint where a track like Doomben, Ipswich will suit it even though it sounds wierd for a backmarker to be suited by those tracks.

They both have about a 200 metre sprint when they have to let down on a small track it gives the other horses less oportunity for a crack at them when there sprint is gone and they are only doing it one guts.

All you have to do is look at the runner up in the Stradbroke who with a touch more distance beats Thorn Park he was absolutely gone on the line who would have given a chance to Consular certainly not me anyway.

I still feel robbed after that race if Scaredee Cat had got a fair run at them I am very certain he would gone close to winning it.

alot of horses were unlucky always happens in a big field..Cosular had no weight but i thought the run of St Basil was brilliant..i reckon he showed his ideal distance..i don't think he is a stayer.
Proudly agro would of given this race a shake with a bit of room on the outside to sprint..and i wouldn't have thrown out my early sportsbet with him at 20s'
