Many have an aversion to punting on jumps because if the horse falls you've done your dough cold. You would never have got $3.20 about Team Heritage if it were a flat race, would have been around $2.20 or less. That's why I allow for the fear factor and factor it into the price. You're really in the same boat if your horse gets lost at the start or squeezed at a vital moment in a flat race. I like the fact that horses have 3000 plus metres to get a position and they are usually given every chance if they're schooled well and good enough. |
