Sorry to all:I sent this to main list when should have gone here

First chance to sit down and pen a few words to the forum.
I have been doing Perth form solidly for the last couple of years and have printouts of most of the races form since Jan 10, 2002.
I have got to know the horses fairly well by doing the form on every runner each week which is hard yakka but necessary. I must admit to not knowing Victorian horses at all these days bar the Group runners hence all my Eastern states betting is limited to the better class races.
What I love most about Perth racing is that 99% of tracks are dry (bar this fortnight) and the same horses run each week or fortnight and that, in the correct races, you can clearly draw divisions between midweek Class 6 horses and then the provincials with solid confidence that they are minimal chances.
I find the 0 and 1mw win races on Sat the most dangerous, at present, though some of them are becoming a fraction easier to assess in proportion to the amount of time I spend looking at the replays from the midweek races.
I am a Betfair devotee these days as the value at times is astounding and very very seldom do I get less than the TAB. This doesn't gurantee me a profit but I would have to be a very poor punter who could not at least break square over a period of time.
As my confidence has grown in Perth the bet size has increased but I am still on a bet size learning curve in Perth and am treading warily.
However, every now and then I get slaughtered as I did with Lady Sherifa and Lady Go Bello a few weeks ago when both were unplaced and it's back to the drawing board. I nearly fainted when I saw the results last Sunday (I won't bet on wet tracks in Perth so had a complete day off the punt)when they BOTH won!!! but that's racing. I believe I made a mistake in LGBello and should have stuck with D Rhythm but I was happy with the LSherifa selection even after the race.
Looks an excellent program but a mate of mine lives in Huntingdale and he assures me this Sat will be wet so I will stay out again.
Good luck to those of you brave enough to have a go.
Roman
