![]() Here's an idea for you to think about:
(1) 8+ runners (2) Tab No1 (3) Clear Pre-post fav between $3 and $5 (4) At least 4 career starts (5) Last start within the last 28 days Yesterday's results: Caul 2-1 $1.80 Caul 3-1 $1.60 Caul 9-1 $1.60 E.Fm 5-1 $1.30 E.Fm 7-1 $1.50 Chel 7-1 $1.70 GCst 7-1 $1.60 GCst 8-1 $1.80 Werr 7-1 $1.60 I didn't have the pre-post odds for Toowoomba but from looking at the results, I think it may have done okay there too. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Optional extra rule: If there is any meeting without a qualifier, try the same rules with Tab No2. If still no qualifiers, try Tab No3. If still none, then ignore that meeting. Yesterday results: Rose 5-2 $1.50 Rose 8-2 $1.60 Belm 5-3 - Belm 7-3 $1.60 Belm 8-3 $1.40 ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~ Yesterday was almost certainly just a flash in the pan, so I think it definitely needs some extra filters to really strengthen it for place betting: no more than 58 kgs at least 2 starts since a spell at least 50% placings And I think a horse should be a special if it's been placed at it's last two starts. ![]() Hi all, interesting thread but I'm a bit disappointed with the PPM style of filters being suggested as they often just point towards the favourite in every race.
Nothing wrong with favourites though, I like backing favourites when they are my number one pick. After all they do yield the lowest LOT of any price category if followed blindly. I like to look at the class of the horse rather than current form and then look at the price. If it's the best class horse and is the favorite I think it is a "true favourite". A suggested staking plan for high strike rate placing plans is the simple bet 5% of your bank and double up on the next race. This means you're betting with more of the bookies money and generally leverages the POT. If you can't watch the races then run a paralell series of bets and double up from day to day eg. 1st race day one into 1st race day two etc. Cheers |

![]() Here is an off spin of this plan using the same selection rules except for the Radio Tab selection....start at number 1 and work your way down and the first horse that qualifies under the rules of
field size 8-12 last start winner placed in one or both of it's starts before the win must be having 4th run from spell must have a C or D in form this will give you more selections and some better prices but will lead to more losses here is what i found for today BR6 5 DELICATA BR7 2 CHIPPY'S PICK SR3 2 CRYSTAL WAY SR5 2 SKIDDAW SR6 3 KOWLOON CONNECTION SR7 2 CASH AND GLORY MR5 1 ALINGHI AR7 1 LOTTO JAZZ thats quite a few horses there [ This Message was edited by: Shaun on 2004-10-13 08:36 ] [ This Message was edited by: Shaun on 2004-10-13 08:48 ] ok that was a waste of time [ This Message was edited by: Shaun on 2004-10-13 18:47 ] |
