Tonight ive just been manually going through previous results from Tabonline using a very simple system where you take the two highest TABq ratings in a field of horses of at least 8 starters and back 1 unit on each for the win. So far this has struck numerous numbers of good paying mid to short paying roughies, and also some consistant results.

I was just wondering if someone could put these rules through a computer database for me:

Very Basic - Over 8 starters
- Horses become selections if they have the highest or second highest tabq rating (no equals, if there are equals in top 2 disregard race / eg. 100 rtng and two 98s are 1st and 2nd highest ratings - not a selection)
- Either horses must not be paying less than $3.00 for the win

And thats bout it so far, havent tried many filters through it but just curious of how it will go in the long term, so if ne1 can help that'd be great...!

Cheers

PS. Hope you can interpret the jibberish i just wrote

My research has found over 14 venues there were 66 selections with 32 winners and a profit of $30.4 with $66 dollards laid out therefore +31.5% POT... Lets see how it goes overtime though and also with minor tweaking..!

Cheers

Hi!
Do you think the ratings on the Vic. TAB would be the same? I have those going back to Oct 93, but I do not have the Queensland TAB ratings. Also what if there are two or more second selections with the same rating?
Forget that race too?
Cheers! Lou
PS.
Forget it I just had a quick look at Tabonline and their rating is totally different from the Vic TAB rating, they pick different horses for the top & sec selections etc.
Good luck with it anyway!

After a shocking day for tipping this system only had a loss of $0.40 for the day after 7 races (14 selections) there were 3 wins at 3.90, 4.8 & 4.9
