Just a small but select field nominated for this 1000m sprint on Sat at Moonee Valley.

BEL ESPRIT 57.5, ABLE CHOICE 56.5, YELL 55.5, TITANIC JACK 55.5, TYCOON RULER 55.5, ORONOKO 54.0, EL CAPITAN 54.0 & ANAKIN SOLO 54.0.

Bel Esprit will be hard to beat. Interesting to see how Titanic Jack measures up, think he will be better suited over more ground. Then we have the Hong Kong horse Able Choice, Yell will be there to keep them all honest, and it seems some have a high opinion of El Capitan.

I'm a big fan of Bel Esprit, hope he blitzes them. Interesting to see how Rawiller rides him. He better not stuff up!

Bel Esprit & Titanic Jack look the obvious chances. Watch on Able Choice ? (from Hong Kong)

Paddy
sorry to post after the fact but I could not help noticing your figures for Bel Esprits race. Congratulations on correctly forecasting the exacta but I see you had Yell within 2kgs of Bel Esprit and the Hong Kong horse even closer. If you had priced the race on these figures you would not have been able to back Bel Esprit. I have not priced the race using your figures but my guess is you would have had Bel Esprit at about 52 with the hong kong horse at around 72. Again I know it is after the fact but I had Bel Esprit much shorter and at the price bet(109)a very nice overlay. This horse could be one of those that bookies continually under rate. Similar to Testa Rossa a couple of years back. I have him right at the top of last years 2yos and look forward to backing him again next time the bookies take him on.

Legion ,

I don't think they are Paddys ratings , they are the actual race weights.

But it was a good price for Bel Esprit nevertheless.
