Default DOUBTFUL

Race 7 No.7 Doubtful looks a very good bet tomorrow evening at Moonee Valley in a 3yo-Cl1 race over 1000m.

This 3yo Redoute's Choice filly comes into the race fresh from almost a month's break after winning a maiden at Pakenham over 1000m. Importantly, she has Moonee Valley experience, having raced there twice including a nose second to Codify over 1000m in a much stronger race at only her second start.

This race is perfect for her. With natural improvement, a repeat of her performance against Codify would see her account for this lot.

I suggest a race-to-race running double taking numbers 1,2,4,5 and 8 (in race 6) into 7.Doubtful (one out in race 7).

I agree Doubtful will be hard to toss. Theirs an interesting runner in the same race. It's a friend of brothers horse called Redoutable. They have always had good wraps on it and it trialled well over a year ago though. It had it's fair share of problems, but they think it has a good chance in this. Watch any betting moves, will still be backing Doubtful but put a watch on Redoutable.

I caught Poet's Voice's run last start, was very impressive. Seemed to win under double wraps.

I've done the form so probably will post ratings, even though the meetings are very weak and Canterbury night meetings are a trap for punters. Still watching the weather in Melbourne - seems ok but clouds are hovering over the track (which I can see from my office). If I do, I'll post around 6:30pm Melbourne time.

Cheers,

F
