Agree MG wet tracks are a problem for neurals. I've tried CP 3 JT 3 CRS 3 DIST 5 DLR 5 with the WT set on 4 or 5 for slow or heavy. From the top 4 i then select either the lowest weighted or the horse ridden by the apprentice claiming the most. My cardinal rule for most races is the old but true " if wet don't bet". |

Hi, Kiwi. I fully agree - not only do the neurals have a problem with Slow and Heavy tracks, but generally most punters. Even Don Scott recommended that betting be avoided with these track conditions because there can be too many unknown factors involved.

Staking Plan for the Neuralmania system
congrats on the start of something big(hopefully).
I can't improve your system, but I'd like to offer a staking plan I've used with success over the years. Each bet is 5% of your bank Each bet is in the win/place bet ratio 1:5 there fore, if your horse places, and pays $1.25 or more, you are a winner. If it places- paying only $1.20- you break even on the bet. This staking plan is useful with systems enjoying a good collect(1st,2nd or 3rd) strike rate.

Hi, Yuckman. Your method seems very good and I'm glad you've had succcess with it over the years. However I don't use a staking plan as I place my bets in the morning and usually don't watch/listen to the races. If I did I would certainly try a similar method not only for the possibility of improved results but also for the adrenalin rush.
Yesterday both selections placed, paying $1.30 and $1.40. Two Almost system selections today: Port Augusta R6 no.5 - Just Vic Port Augusta R8 n0.9 - Sundanz |
