Did post in an earlier thread - yes my namesake was that gutsy front running stayer who won the 1966 AJC Derby & 1967 STC Cup (and not the young mare that is racing in NZ currently – sacrilege !)

El Gordo, a striking bay stallion, also sired some 106 progeny whilst at stud.
