Default Magic Millions 2yo and 3yo!!

Just thought i would start a thread up. I won;t be making any real decisions until after the barrier draw as GC can be a killer for wide gates. Also just read in the paper that it is expected to be dead at least with predicted showers in the area during the week.

Fashions Afield dominates the three year old market but i don;t think there is anything to justify why. Yes on her previous form she dominates the market but because she was flattened first up how can we gauge how she is going? How do we know that run hasn't knocked her around? If she draws out in the car park and runs the trip 4 wide as will probably happen at the GC there are horses classy enough to beat her. There are a lot of querries and Gai would say her horse was going beautifully even if one of the stablehands accidently shot it in the hind quaters with a nail gun.

Daimyo at 31's looks an OK roughie. Great run first up and unbeaten second up, trained at the track aswell. Not sure what the form is like on rain affected ground if that is the scenario though.

As for the two-year old race. I backed Assertive for the sole reason that Bart is tinny and he was applying the blinkers for the horses second start. I always like too see a gear change on a two year old applied by a top trainer as this will almost always render improvement. However, i am going arround it this time. I like Barts other horse Wonderful World a lot but i am not sure if that is running in the millions. I am very impressed with Churchill Downs but am not sure whether the gold coast track will suit. Hard to rate Pulsator with the saddle slipping last start but there are wraps on this horse. The other i like is Reigart, hasn;t done a thing wrong and i think people can get a bit carried away with the Melbourne and Sydney form, when there are some good horses coming from QLD aswell.

Interested too here what other people think.

Cheers,
TS
