Lucky or Unlucky?
After having a win Saturday night at the casino i decided to yesterday take a quaddie in adelaide.
Having declared Testifiable a certainty i took it one out and had quite a few in each of the other legs. After getting the first winner home, Testifiable duly salutes and all of a sudden we are half way to a quaddie. 3rd leg i put in all my fancied runners and then at the last minute threw a horse in who i knew had ability but had not heard much about recently (apparently been in dubai) Perfectaly Ready. What do you know it comes in. I am now 3 legs down one to go. Last leg i have the 6 favourites according to the TAB and with the Vic Tab you are able to see the approximates and after seeing that the shortest dividend was $3300 for $1 (i had for .50 c) I decided that i would cover myself just in case and make it a profitable day regardless. $11,000 was the longest dividend i could have got. In covering myself i outlayed $200. Every horse above 40-1 i put $10 on, every horse between 20-1 and 40-1 i had 20 on. and the only horse that was left was sojustremember this at 13-1 which i had $30. Well i missed the Quaddie, but due to my bets i had $10 on the winner which saluted at $112. Spent $280 Return $1120 What are you guys thoughts? Do you ever do the same when taking Quaddies or treble's? especially when you know the return will be large if you get it right? |
