Default System analysing method

Heres an idea I read about from a mathematician, for checking systems one feels has potential without having to have 1000's of past results to see if it has legs.

Break up the sample into odd & even No. races.
e.g. Race Nos. 1357 compared to Race Nos. 2468

If the sample ends up showing that the Strike Rate is wildly different to one another between the odd & even No. races , it usualy tells us something strange is going to happen down the line when real money is going to be place on it.

Or one has discovered an anomily that could be in ones favour profit wise , these anomilies are usually short lived before the forever shifting desert sands start do their thing.

If one finds the SR similar, one will usually find that one of the 2 groups will be more profitable than the other, for what ever reason .

Make of that what you will.

The positive thing about the exercise , is it is one way of quickly determining if ones selection method has any merritt long term.

It could also be seen as one way of minimising ones volumn of bets so as to maximise potential profits.

Cheers.
