I'm forever trying to improve my results.
Usually I take a wrong turn and end up worse so usually go back to my original methods.

But I tell you what.
Whenever I do find ways to shorten my calculations and stuff, I introduce some more stuff to observe and the time spent per race pretty much stays the same.
I just seem to enjoy spending the hour on a race.
But the thing is, I have no real need to do the whole meeting.
I do have to have a bet on every race at the meeting, but for actual fair dinkum study, one or two races per meeting is ample.

The biggest thrill I have is getting it right.
I'm not the sort of person who gets off on other peoples selections.
I like to put in the hard yards and reap the rewards if any.

What I usually do is find the race that I feel MOST good about and get into it.
If I have another 2 hours to spare , then I will do another race later.
There will always be another Race.
I treat racing as an always thing and not as a "have to study every race that is worth studying"
I don't do particularly well in my Punting, but that is most likely due to Flaws in My Personality than errors in judgement and lack of knowledge of Mathematics.

Can I say that I also enjoy the study very much.
But , like ice cream, too much eventually starts to lose its interest.
That is why I limit to around the 2 hour mark.
Its sorta like the bloke said, how do you convert mentally observable stuff into a Mathematical Formula that will work anywhere and anytime.

I guess a lot of the stuff that I spend a lot of time on, has a lot less influence on the result of a Race than stuff that is VERY important yet takes only seconds to apply.
I think what it boils down to, is the more you look at things, the more chance there is that something catches your eye that is important.
