I would suggest that the reason for BeCareful's figure regarding the wet and the outside runners is that "generally" those horses have a better surface to run on. Is it not a common conception that, in the wet especially, the horses will move to the outside to run on better ground than those on the inside?
I have also developed a system taken from advice from several strands in the forum it goes like this: Only bet each way on - Listed or Group winners / place getters Fresh runners (5 or less starts in a prep) Weights of 59+ Inside rail if good/dead Outside rail if slow/heavy Horse must be down in class On favoured track It has to have won over track and distance (and has won on slow/heavy if track is wet) Must be home State jockey onboard Must pay more than $3.00 a win or $2.00 a place The result of this is I have stopped punting!!!!! (Just trying to bring some levity to a very serious thread!) _________________ may the horse be with you Seeker [ This Message was edited by: Seeker11 on 2003-12-12 12:32 ] |
