That was 256M , not 256K.
And you seem to be correct already.
Acrobat reader and Excel seem to be quicker.
But the web Pages speed is limited by things other than Ram.
I think the speed increase is because the Computer is using the ram Storage rather than Hard Drive storage , and that is much more efficient.
