Certain races can become a strong 'form' race, but how easy to pick these days?

Courtesy of a mate of mine over east:-

“The 3rd of April 02 at Ballarat - a lowly Class 2 race. The winner of that race, Cheam, subsequently won at Rosehill (15th June 02), the 4th placed horse - Name Dropper, won same day in Brisbane, whilst the 2nd placed runner in that Ballarat race – Another Trick, had won the previous Sat (8th June 02) at Flemington.”

Three horses competing in a lowly class mid-week provincial all go on to win (within a couple of weeks of each other), in metro Saturday class races in three different states. Interesting to see what the 3rd placegetter at Ballarat (Regal Shark) has done or is doing.
