Thanks to those that offered advice concerning the problems with transporting fields from the RISA site.
With the installation of the opera browser and playing around with excel I am now back in business.( not quite as simple as before but)
I would be interested to here from a computer expert their views on why the opera browser allows for selecting and copying from the RISA site and the TAB, whereas internet explorer does not.
