Mobile Phones At The Track....

I know it is illegal to broadcast live fixed odds from the betting ring. What about for personal use though.
I want to send somebody to the track, and if there is better odds available back the horse there instead.

Anybody tell me if this is allowed? Obviously communication will be home phone to mobile in the betting ring.

Any thoughts.
