Default Saturdays Sydney Selections!

As i said in the other thread i will throw up some discussion on the sydney races. I will let you know that the form is mainly done on paper and from what i remeber from my initial viewing of the race i.e. i havn't analysed race replays videos etc. But at least they provide some building blocks.

Race 1

I think every man and his dog will be on Tick By this weekend. I think she will win the Caulfield cup and she may well win this week but i don't think there will be any value in her. Above deck has an impeccable record over the track and distance, and with Men At work running this afternoon we should be able to frank the form of Above's last run - O'Hara on board with the claim, should be a good chance. Fooram must also be rated a good chance on her last run, 4th run in now should be in peak form and has beadman on board which is both a plus (great rider) and a minus (price cruncher). Dial Tones has a great strike rate at his home track rosehill but his past few have been over much shorter distances. In summary i think that if any price is available about tick by then grab it, value could lie with Above deck.

Whoa this is like a novel

Race 2

I like midnight city here. third up from spell should be cherry ripe, beaten last start by collate and collate came out and beat some smart older horses yesterday with reletive ease. He gets the claim for fuji so weight shouldn't be an issue. Only querry is the distance and i don;t have much knowledge on sires and breeding etc, but from looking at the sire index of Lion Hunter it would appear his progeny are best over the sprint journeys 1000-1300 metres. He ran in the TJ smith over a mile and finished 14/19 but that is group one as compared to this group 6 event.

Master strategy steps up in class on his last run but is reaching peak fitness, poor winning strike rate however.

And chess record has been pretty impressive, he could ping to the front and dictate terms. Most of the other form is through chess record last start and none of those horses looked like beating him.

Race 3

I'll be leaving gonski alone here, massive hype on this horse and he was well beaten last start. He was unlucky in the run but he wouldnt have won anyway. I think De Beers will win, i liked denmarket in the roman consul, and therefore like de beers here as a narrow defeat to denmarket last start. De beers won second up over this journey last time in and has class on his side. That win was on slow ground but will trust he is just as good on the dry. Blizzardly needs another run under her belt i think. Next best Longhorn.

Race 4

Not that interested in this race to be honest.

If you went on Shes in demands third to nevis she would have to blitz these, but last too runs poor. Maybe coolroom candidate, i think its suited by the rosehill circuit, will be up on the pace and should have every chance (have you noticed how many of these racing cliches i have used . Kannadah queen/diamonic to pull out a nice run fresh?

Race 5

Tough race, a lot of horses first up/early in prep. Like Dance the Waves here, narrow loss to red oog is excellent form, great record second up - good jock, gets all the ticks. Sam sung a song based on his first up run last time in has to be a chance if he has come up that well this prep ( ibelieve he was put away after an injury - anyone shed some light). Presently third up, peak fitness, not far away in that race dance the waves comes through. Vionetto beaten 1.8 by collate last start, collate obviously a very smart horse. And segments/all bar one have good first up records.

Cheers
