Default Racing Lingo

Hey guys

Not much of a horse racing expert but im keen to learn. Sports is more my field of espertise.
Haven't actually started betting on races yet but im picking what i would bet and seeing how i would go.
I have been watching the races on TV and there are a few things that i dont know what they mean so id thought id ask her.

When talking about the market, i hear people say a horse has moved a "point". Does a point equal a dollar?

Ive also heard terms like"************s", "tongue ties"

Can anyone explain what these are and why a trainer would use these.

If there is a website explaining racing lingo then that would make it easier for everyone.

Thanks in advanced
Punta
