Good win Big O but the weight will level them. Also for mine Due Sasso peaked on the line, run ending. Risk from the gate.

Strewth, what a couple of class acts these races are!

I might wait for the weather forecast on this one. It might get a bit wet on Sat. and the track favours leaders when wet [well it used to before the rebuilt surface].
Failing rain making it a bit easier, I might just stick to track performers to pick from. 2 very hard races but the odds will be there.

Default Saturday Racing!

Thought i would start up a general thread for saturday racing, with an excellent (and extremely difficult) card at Caulfield, but with some quality racing in Sydney aswell. Adelaide and Brisbane looks average this week.

One question I pose is are people getting carried away with certain horses. These big pressure races never seem to go according to how everyone thinks. I seem a bit bemused about people throwing around so called "good things" in Group races.

In the Oakleigh, yes it looks like either VDF or TT but one of the most interesting runners in the race i thought was Solar Antiquity. It had been Group 1 placed behind Alinghi (champ) in the Sangster last prep then 2.7 lengths behind G1 Glamour Puss (i believe will go on her winning way after that first up run), if Solar has come up you would have to rate her a rough chance wouldn;t you. Other interesting runners are Whats the Mail and Miss Andretti IMO.

Also i wouldn;t be so quick to declare Lad of the Manor, Vroom Vroom looks a vary vary capable type. I thought it might be a good quin (no value) and a good tri race by putting Lad/Vroom - Lad/Vroom/Rizon/Khindjah - Coupe of others.

Gods own looks the goods but at the price i can't back him. Think Zigotto is the best roughie in the race. Thin and Crispy is poorly weighted but that finishing burst whoa!!

Opinions/Thoughts/Criticisms/Tips/Ratings etc welcome
Espec anyone who has done some speed maps.

Cheers
