Default Staking Plan Ideas

Hi all

I have a set of real results that have been achieved recently. This is a snippet of the total results but the consistency is similar.

This is betting for a place only.
W.....1.5
W.....1.6
W......2.2
W.....3.1
W....2.1
W.....2.2
W....1.8
W....1.2
W....1.7
L
W....2.1
W....2.0
W....2.5
W....1.5
W....1.7
W....1.2
W....1.4
L
W....1.4
L
W....1.2
L
W....1.2
W.....1.3
W....3.5
W....1.6
L
W.....1.9

These are in time sequence. This excerpt is from a fortnights betting. Most losses in a row has been 3 in any fortnight block.

Any of the staking plan buffs got any suggestions on the staking plan i should consider allowing for a bad run to be factored in. So far level stakes is good.

BUT with divis around this area a few losses can change things so just looking for suggestions at this point.

Out of the above 6 have won the race with divis as follows
3.0
11.9
3.1
5.6
2.7
3.2

Cheers

Default Staking Plan

Dont wish to sound drab and boring but betting 3% of your bank will
see profits increase dramatically whilst if you lose from time to time, your bet amounts drop. I read this years ago somewhere on a punting website.
If you encounter a losing run, and we all do, by betting 3% of a reducing bank
you have everything under control. Then, as the winners return, your bets go up
again. Simple.

Cheers

Ubetido, with a high strike rate method I would be looking at all up doubles, trebles etc. - starting a new all up with each bet.

Returns :

Flat stake 28 > 41.9
all up *2...28 > 62.9
all up *3...28 > 104.6
all up *4...28 > 163.8

A happy medium might be something like a third of a unit on each level of all ups which would return 110.4 for your 28 unit outlay.

Or maybe bet a partial all up e.g take out 25% each bet and bet the remainder.

Sounds like you have a reasonable sample of results so there are plenty of variations on this theme that you can look at - just run a few 'what ifs' and decide what suits your personal betting profile. (risk/reward)

The end result is that you must be happy with the method chosen - there is probably no right answer, just what is right for you.

Hi Ubetido,

They are some impressive figures there, well done.

You might like to try out this plan.
It works well for place betting & win betting, if one can pick the end result at some stage.

It's called a 3 Step Progression Plan.
The idea, is one just keeps going through the progression win lose or draw until one gets into profit, then start again.

Allow for a run of say 26 outs or more for win betting.

Betting say $1 units .
123/234/345/456/567/678/789/8,9,10 ect

One only needs half the odds of level stakes to break even.
It will squeeze the selections into profit because of its structure & is very economical to use compared to many other plans such as, reduce the divisor after a win type plans, which have their problems when dealing with low divs, this plan gets around that concern.

Let us know how you go.
Cheers.

With such a high strike rate I would be betting all-up as well. I've put your results into a spreadsheet that I use to test my own high place strike rate selections.

$50 on each selection, being $10 for a place, $10 x 2, $10 x 3, $10 x 4 and $10 x 5.

The actual results would differ slightly due to rounding up or down (if you had to place the bets individually).

Hope I've attached it OK and that it is of use.

Hi all

Thanks for the replies. Have a couple of questions just to be clear.
BHAGWAN.
1. Do you mean you bet as in bet 1. 1unit bet 2. 2units etc until profit. or bet in groups of 3. 1st selection 1 unit next 2 units and next 3 untis so a total bet of 6 units on 3 selections.

2. When you say you are in profit do you mean from the previous highest point of the bank or for that particular sequence of say 234.

BLACKSNAKE
Thanks for that chart is the first bet on 1st selection $10 or $50. On the Ist column you have OUT $50 even though the all succeeded. If the first bet is $10 then no other money would go into this sequence so if not successful LOSS would be $10.

$1.50 $15.00 $24.00 $52.80 $163.68 $343.73 $50.00
$1.60
$2.20
$3.10
$2.10

cheers

Hi Ubetido.

I have 5 x $10 bets on each selection, and each one is the start in a new series.

1 x $10 bet for the place; 1 x $10 bet for 1st selection all-up 2nd selection etc. so a total of $50 wagered on each horse.

Cheers.

Hi Ubetido,

The idea of the plan, is to keep going through the process until one has a new bank high.

One does not have to complete the sequence of 3 if one has acheived a new bank high.

One has the option to expand on the idea of only restarting once say 2-3 units in front.

Cheers.
