Ratings Challenge
Okay, we'll start this officially this week. People who didn't put ratings in last week are welcome to join in with the rest of us this week. You can use any sort of method you like to get your ratings.
Simply list your top 5 rated runners in order with their prices using a 100% market. 2 races to rate this week: CAULFIELD R4-ROBERT TARANTO HANDICAP 1980 M ($50000) 1 MY GIBREEL John Hawkes J Benbow (a3) 10 58 2 CLOWNS John Hawkes D Gauci 5 57.5 3 IRISH CRUSADER (NZ) Brian Mayfield-Smith M Flaherty 7 57 4 MODERN ERA Brian Mayfield-Smith V Hall 3 57 5 CAPADAN (NZ) Ross McDonald N Callow 2 56.5 6 YOU LITTLE BEAUT Tony McEvoy D Oliver 11 56.5 7 ASHKALANTE Cliff Brown S W Arnold 9 55.5 8 MANY ARE CALLED Geoff Daffy N Wilson 6 54.5 9 NO HIGH NO SONG Greg Eurell L Nolen 1 54.5 10 LANCASTER'S GOLD John Ledger S Baster 4 54 11 BIKKIE TIN BLUES Mark Houlahan R Maloney (a3) 8 54 CAULFIELD R5-RUPERT CLARKE STAKES 1400 M ($75500) 1 CHONG TONG Lee Freedman D Nikolic 3 58 2 BROADBAND Lee Freedman D Oliver 4 57 3 LORD VOLKSRAAD (NZ) Brian Mayfield-Smith S Baster 6 56 4 MR. Well, they're obviously equal 5th picks. It would be better if people could provide only 5 picks, but if you do have equal 5th rated horses, please try to at least put them in some order of preference. As for the odds, that's not absolutely crucial, but it would be much better if people could use a 100% market to price their horses. Some people's ratings are listed in kgs, some in lengths, some in points etc etc, so giving each horse a price is a good way for us to make a good comparison between methods.

Gday All, just to get this clear... do I rate the 5 picks as the only horses in the field ie 100% of the market or do I do as I normally do rate the whole field as 100%. Then post the top 5? |

xptdriver,
rate the whole field to 100% and then list your top five. |

Yeah, as Ron said, rate the WHOLE FIELD to 100%, but only post the top 5. Sorry I didn't make that clearer in my initial post. Last edited by Sportz : 13th January 2005 at 04:57 PM. |

Yep.
Well, I've been looking after the tipping comp for the last 4 or 5 months, so I know all about that. Last edited by Sportz : 13th January 2005 at 05:21 PM. |
