Thoughts for tomorrow

Warrick Farm
*Blue Pariarch, *Quad Queen ,
Race 5 is difficult for me as i have Clontaago, No Wine No Song , Mr Zen and Styx n daggers all in my stable..i'll be having a wide tri in this and maybe something on a few of these at odds probably leaning more to Styx who did well last start as Clontaago might be to short,,,,,hard race..

Tamworth
*Danzavite, *Miracle Fred, *Lakeside Drive

Mackay
*Sabre Sonic, *Reubens Gold

Warracknabakabealabong
*Brakenette (Dry)

Have a few here i'm guessing will be nice e/w value...very confident with Quad Queen and Blue Patriarch .. both are in good form..blue patriarch has had tempo and bias go against him of late ,,is super fit now and at a distance he prefers,,
Quad queen was real unlucky last start,,Bowman boxed purton in and wouldn't let him out..was totally out ridden by a master,,
Cassidy gets the ride tomorrow and he's to expereinced for that to happen again..the horse is flying..

Good luck all

SS,

A galah is a bird, but it's also a term for someone who's a bit of an idiot.

Thumbs down hey fella's....

just a quick question which has been on my mind for a while and is a reason for me not posting for a while. Does everyone here still win when their selection is unplaced?? I find it hard to believe but everytime someone on this site tips a horse and it runs 4th, 5th or last, they still post and say "lucky I got the qn" or "lucky I got the exacta" What a load! C/mon, seriously, if you like a horse, you cannot back everything else and still win! Some people here tip 7 horses's per race, then say the exacta saved them ( but with 7 horses your almost garenteed to lose!!!!)

I just cannot believe some of thr remarks posted here.

I agree that some people here here tip at a 10-20% profit, but I hate post's where the tipster states there selection ran last but they jagged the exacta! Seriously, are we stupid or what!

If you lose admit it! We all do!

I may jag a 40/1 winner more often than the odds suggest, but I dont jag a tri every race, I lose 8 out of 10 but try to inject value into what I do win to make a small profit. If all everyone says they back here is true ( after saying "I didnt tip it because of the track or so and so",,,) they would be millionaires! It would make the forum more honest, beneficial and interestesting if posters admitted the truth!

I lose, YOU LOSE

We can only learn by each others mistakes!

So admit them!

And if i'm wrong, please tell me how to be a millionaire out of racing!, I'd love to learn ! I feel sick everytime I see people here jagged that PROFIT MAKING trifecta or exacta when there selected horse RAN LAST!!!

Sorry, but I cant resist posting my true feelings here, private post me if I'm wrong and tell me that elusive secret!!!

Tarbs

(PS if I post (tip) tommorrow I will admit I as wrong if they finish last!)

Tarbs,

I made a loss on Saturday and I'm willing to admit it. It was a real struggle and I'm afraid my tips went shocking. It was pretty embarrassing. However, I think I'm like most people on here when I say that I have savers or multi bets that get me out of trouble on occasions and if I had only had win bets on one selection per race and nothing else, I would have been in real trouble. Some people on here back as many as 4 or 5 horses in the race if the odds are right, and there are various other ways of getting out of trouble when your top pick doesn't win. I don't claim to have won when I haven't and I don't claim to have picked a winner when I haven't.

I for one don't take exactas like you mentioned, and rarely quinellas. Any2 bets are usually my saviour. An example. Flemington R3 on Saturday, I tipped The Bighearted and We Can't Say That. I had $10 Win on both of them, but I also had Any2 bets on both of them with the field (cost $13 each), as I usually do when I'm keen on 2 horses and it's an open race. Now, I wouldn't have picked Harryallard's Lane in a wild fit, but with him winning the race, I got back $183.30 from a total investment on the race of $46.

My Any2 bet with The Bighearted returned $94.30 and with We Can't Say That returned $89.00. That's just like getting $7.25 and $6.85 about these horses (the 2 favourites) running a place. By the way, I could have got twice that amount taking both horses in a quinella with the field, but I certainly didn't claim to have done that. I prefer the Any2 field bet because your horse only has to finish 3rd to get a collect.

I post tips on here as a guide. I don't tell people how to bet on them. I never would. With the multiples, I do post 6 or 7 horses, but I generally post 3 or 4 horses I think can win and another 2 or 3 for the placings, and I don't claim to have won big multis when I haven't. On Saturday for example, there were a couple of VERY big trifectas and first4s found amongst my selections, but I hadn't rated the winner amongst my winning selections for the race, so I didn't claim to have picked them or backed them.

As a rule, I don't finally decide what I'm going to bet on until the last minute. I'm sorry, but I can't go to the trouble of posting just before each race exactly how I'm betting, or I might miss getting the bets on.

Hope you do well with your tips today.

Really depends on the race. Most often I'll back all nominated runners the win (level stakes) and then take them in the exotics (usually selections-selections-field.... might throw in a couple more for second)

Yesterday I tru in the 7 in race 6 at bairnsdale for second and the exacta paid $225 and the tri $830... so nice result.

I sometimes use different totes, I really like the QLD TAB for the exotics.... not sure why but seems to pay better than VIC more often than not e.g. Bairnsdale Exact $225 QLD vs $125 in VIC although tri was more in VIC than QLD and VIC totes don't have 1st4's, so if I go wide use NSW TAB flexi-betting....

Good Luck, she's a hard game !

Yours In Punting
