ridden in brilliant front-running style by Stathi Katsidis! Make no mistake, Danny O'Brien has incredible depth in his stable and it may pay to follow him for the rest of the Spring. Cheers. |

![]() MR6,
How close was that....? How many close finishes have we been involved in the last week or so? MR6 9 2nd 3.5plNSW meaning that we have returned 115.8% POT(1x5), so, while we are winning...it could have been much, much more....! That's racing I suppose. Cheers. |

![]() Surprised just the one runner for Danny O'Brien today ? Absolut Glam in R6 at MV. Got a good show imo just not sure how Hall will ride from alley 13?

![]() Absolut Glam comes from behind and there is no pace in the race, so shouldn't have much trouble slotting in. Hasn't been ridden for 25 days though which might be a worry. Might be there to smell the roses and gain some fitness.
Only Bourgogne and Grand Journey have run the 1600m before and Bourgogne scored a win [Cran. Maiden]. Grand Journey scored a close up 2nd twice to Tan Tat De Lago over the distance at W'bee [RS1mw] and the Valley [Open]. Last edited by crash : 26th September 2007 at 10:40 AM. |

![]() Danny O'Brien was on the Today program this morning outlining the effect this scourge has had on his stable although, thankfully, no outbreak in Victoria yet and let's hope it stays that way.
I am a little concerned about the apprentice rider and the wide barrier today but as crash said-if it is ridden in a competent manner it may be a good chance of winning or being amongst the place-getters. Cheers. |

![]() My concerns came to fruition yesterday as the apprentice appeared to be a bit "tentative" in the run to the line. However, it ran a place and paid $1.6plNSW returning us a POT(1x5) = 33.33%.
Today, Danny O'Brien has the following runners: MR6 2* MR8 8* *both to be ridden by S. Arnold. Cheers. |
