Yeah, I wouldn't have claimed a trifecta win there. The 3 was rated 6th. So unless you had the 1 or 2 as roving bankers or something, it's a bit hard to work out how you could get that tri. If you boxed them, it would be too expensive to even make a profit on the race.

For $40 you can do: 1,2/1,2,3,4,5,6/1,2,3,4,5,6 that would be my guess its only $40.

Sometimes:

1,2,3/1,2,3,4,5,6,7/1,2,3,4,5,6,7 that is $90

on the basis of 50c bets, its relatively cheap for those who back more than $10 a race (not me).

Hmm might just have a look and see. But i would realy only be looking at backing those selections which are written out for win in the trifecta.

Ow well, nice to see you are winning Stix.

That's what I meant. In the race in question, Stix had the winner rated 6th, not one of the winning tips for the race.

Yes I did have it rated 6th..... BUT..... My bets ended up being:

16:35 BET MR07TT (FLX) 1, 2, 8 / 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 / 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 8 $20.00-
FOR 20.00 = 22.22% (DIV)
16:35 BET MR07TT (FLX) 3, 4, / 1, 2, 8 / 1, 2, 8 $20.00-
FOR 20.00 = 166.66% (DIV)

Bet 1 (20.00)
Bet 2 158.97 (1.66 * $95.6)
Profit 138.97

Granted a little unorthodox..... BUT..... every now and then that lower rated runner brings u undone.... but I was happy it worked out !..... it's my little bit of insurance.... Hope this makes sense
