Hmmm, a couple of things I definitely neglected when thinking about this series. A "champion team" will usually beat a "team of champions" AND the Aussies are obviously hurting an awful lot after what happened in England!!!

Okay, well the World XI were awful in the one day games, but surely they'll put up a better performance in the test match???

I just think that the current Australian team performs better at One day level than Test level and the World XI have had a bit more time to settle in now. Also, Vettori and Murali could only bowl 10 overs each in the one dayers and they can bowl non stop here on a pitch which should suit them. The Australian batting lineup looks a bit weak too. Both teams look a bit light on in the pace bowling stakes. Don't know if Kallis and Watson are 1st change bowlers at this level, but obviously both teams have been built around playing 2 spinners.

Anyway, I've put a small bet on the World XI at $2.40 just for a bit of an interest, but after what happened in the one dayers, I certainly wouldn't be at all surprised if Australia wins.

Let's see what happens.

Never a truer word spoken. Geez, the World XI were awful. Apparently, they couldn't fit all the egos in the one dressing room, or on the same field.
