I believe Beadman is the best in the business, always have. But I'm not so blinded as to see a poor ride for what it is. He just doesn't ride that well down here anymore. Not sure what it is.

For some reason I've never been too impressed with Beadman. I think he has poor instincts in big races & can get caught napping. He rides for cover, which is fair enough particularly in the rank & file races in Sydney, but in G1 races, its just not enough to get cover inside of horses & hope for luck. The ride on Headturner probably cost him victory, it deprived him of his chance anyway.

Someone mentioned Callow...the ride on Queen of the Hill?? Actually i didnt think he did too much wrong. Someone tried to keep him in a pocket & thats racing.

Gday brave

where is the tactical advantage of being on the fence in a straight race with 5 runners at Flemington? Pretty dumb stuff to get locked away like that...

Default back at last.

had my conference in thredbo. (nsw regional development)
had my council local government elections (success).

couldnt get a bet on in thredbo on caulfield cup day.

probably missed a lot of gossip over the past few weeks and very tempting ideas in this thread too.
mustnt get carried away. but the thoughts on noel callows riding in a 5 horse (straight race no turns) getting blocked for a run must be the doozy of them all.
could only happen to favorites.
but the moderator doesnt like sarcasm so will leave it there.
good luck everyone for the cup.
i think railings but secretly hope she wins again.
