Yeah, I remember the 2nd test in England where Ponting sent the poms in basically just because of past history and what the locals said. Look what happened there! However, in this case, apparently the pitch is already looking very dry and cracked it's not even day 1.

The talk around today is that Martyn may go straight back in at number 4. As I said earlier, it would be a strange move to replace Hodge in the squad with Martyn if they weren't actually planning on giving him a game.

No MacGill. And as I suspected, Martyn instead of Clarke.

Australia team:
JL Langer, ML Hayden, *RT Ponting, DR Martyn, MEK Hussey, A Symonds, +AC Gilchrist, SK Warne, B Lee, MS Kasprowicz, SR Clark.

I love listening to South African commentators... they think that by restricting aussies with a ring field that s af will win test... someone should tell them that they have to take 20 wickets...and that they are already behind . I hate to admit it but a lot of warnie's "banter" is spot on . very unattractive and unimaginative approach !!

I give south africans a chance... need to make another 170 runs, tough i know but wicket is starting to play tricks. a small investment at 7.00 would be worthwhile

Wonder what will the pitch be like? After the disgraceful pitch doctoring in the first test backfired badly on SA, it will be interesting to see what happens.
