An interesting read fellas. Good to put some background behind the names.

I am about 30, a doctor in rural Queensland and have been punting since I was about 18. Have my good days and bad days but have imroved a stack since getting some ideas from this forum. I would love to have a magical, simple, reliable and guarranteed profitable system but am still looking. I don't post on here as much as I would like becuase I have not developed 100% confidence in my selections yet and wouldn't want to lead anyone else down the garden path. I appreciate the contributions made by everyone and in particular love the Brisbane thread.

Just spotted this thread so here goes, real name John, 55,originally from Yorkshire UK; self employed, married twice, 3 big kids first time(3 grand kids), now my wife Linlin is 25 years my junior, HEE HEE! 2 kids .

First horse that I backed was Jay Trump (National winner) been hooked ever since, though in UK I was a "mad gambler" gut judgement only, many spectacular wins followed by many "unlucky" spectacular losses hahaha!

Currently I am a motorsport journalist, and have been for the past two years. Have had a couple of reports published in a greyhound magazine regarding Healesville. I used to be a parade steward there.

But my weekends are now taken up by the motorsport side of things (for example past 6 weekends have been at motorsport events reporting), and I also work for a radio program that is broadcasted to the web 24 hours a day 7 days a week (mind you its on loop all the time). revheadsreview.com.au

I am also a statistician for the Box Hill Hawks, and really enjoy that side of things. But im a sportaholic all in all.

Im certainly no full-time punter. Just punt when I have the time. I enjoy it because I enjoy being right.
