hey guys first up i thought Enrique's run behind Friday Creek was good. Over 1350 although he has a credible record at the distance he was up against some good performers. Over 1600+ he should step up again this preparation and match his last. Also Lasoron was brilliant in winning i thought. and you can't say much more about Gold Edition. In my opinion she should join Takeover Target and Bentley in England i think she's a class above those two.

In Melbourne in what was a weak Andrew Ramsden stakes New Kid in Town did it easy. sat just off the speed and had the staying power to kick away to a 3 length lead and canter over the line. Red For Lou copped a bad beat in the seventh although beaten by 3. Nolen kept him to the fence and lost 5 lengths trying to get past a couple of horses coming from last. Amerryking in the last was another slaughtered by the jockey. Given an impossible task by apprentice Hall was taken back to last early and at one stage and on the home turn at least 20 of the leaders. On a slow track he showed brilliant turn of foot but still went down by 2. TOP RUN

In the best race of the day thanks to the riding tactics......Cold Start in what we all love to see. Mason loves riding front runners but she just couldn't pinch this one.......Hunters Moon in the last prevailed under hard riding. Good to see Miller is a jock who can stretch out a horse under pressure. nice ride

In Adelaide gotta start with last weeks eye catcher Tonlyn Spirit who was equally impressive this run sprinting brilliantly to demolish the field. dont know what to make out of the first. And Catskin in the last should win soon. just couldnt do it saturday.

Something tells me this could get to be quite a long list soon.

A couple from the weekend caught my eye. Sands of Time who went to the line, stride for stride, with the winner (Empire's Choice). Showed a nice turn of foot when clear.

Sheezvalue, Roman Squire and Theseo, all very impressive in winning. Nearly bought a share in Theseo a few years back if i remember correctly. Woulda', shoulda' coulda' and all that, but am sorry i didn't now!

Kyros; seemed to be plugging along, plenty of hype not a lot of action, but when he finally woke up and figured it out, absolutely flew home. Might pay to keep an eye on. I think he'll be up against it next time out in a lot tougher race. Olliver is switching back to Keiki, so Scott Seamer takes the ride, which doesn't inspire a huge amount of confidence. But their will be a win in two in him i'm sure. Would be a nice bet e/w at odds.

Burnzy in Perth is a horse i had Blackbooked previously, however i couldn't remember why when it came to the race on Sat. He duly saluted and judging by the run, and with a little improvement, their should be more to come form him in the future.

As for the horses i mentioned previously. Mohawk went OK. Has often been a little flat second time out, judging by the times he has run in previous preps. Was far from disgraced running a creditable fourth in a tough race. Given the right race, their should be a decent performance in him.

Jeteye was disappointing for mine. Heard Mark Sheehan comment during the call that Jeteye was under the whip rounding the home turn. Will put it down to a flat performance, 4th run into this prep, but would expect a much improved perfomance next time out or he'll be getting the chop! Real gutsy win by the winner though, Oakland Lad. Nice work Mav.

Jest for Fun ran a decent race in Adelaide but was blocked for a run at a crucial time in the str8. Pity, 'cos the horse flew home for second. With some luck/better ride their will be a win next time out.

Didn't really spend much time on Melb or Sydney. So am all ears if others have anything from the weekend.

I liked what I saw from Roman Squire on the weekend it is the 1st time they haven't tried to go for a miracle run on him and took him to the outside and just let him go good win against some good horses will be interesting to see where he goes next.

One of my horses to follow Legendary Man races this weekend in Race 2 at Eagle Farm over 1500m he hasn' gotten a favourable draw but Eagle Farm will suit this guy big time and he can finish hard in what looks to be a competitive race.

first in brizzy run my eye catcher of the day was Bianca in race 3. Came in about fifth just under two lengths from the leader and was pressured the whole way up the straight. just couldnt catch a break. the winner was also impressive. race one sirmione was brilliant, showed his class, takeitall not bad in running fourth. rasmussen once again proved he's going to be top class just couldn't hold off the late challenge.

In sydney didnt think there were many more impressive than the opening winner isurava. one runner.....rumbird looks like a professional placegetter to me.

in Melbourne loved the fight to the line between scenic assault and rum corps both last start winners streeted the field. both should score a few more wins this prep. in the last placegetters sovereign miss and long-odds centashani flashed late

in adelaide a lot of close finishes all day runs of the day immortality vormista, tristo and cadgee gold.

The run of the day for me was Diamond Deck in the Sire's Produce!

Not a bad effort for a horse with only 2 runs ever and if he'd stuck his tongue out he would have pinched it in this G2 and still a maiden!

QTC Cup
Their was a horse that carved through the field and eventually finished fifth. I can't seem to find an official finishing order as of yet, but it ran along the rails and would of been in the photo for third with Son of Dane and Mr Hornblower. I initiallly thought it was Enrique, however i have yet to confirm this. If anyone has a link to the official race finishing order or know who this horse was, i would appreciate it.
