Drayzen,
Here's another anti-staking plan post.
The problem with most staking plans is that the logic is the wrong way round. They chase after losses not winnings.
Consider this :-
You follow the Bhagwan's plan (which is very conservative compared to some) using $10 units and a bank of $1,000 (1% initial stake). After a run of 19 outs (horrible to think about but not uncommon), you’ve lost the lot. With a 2% initial stake, you can only withstand a run of 13 consecutive outs. With 5% initial stake, it’s only 8 consecutive outs, one single meeting! At flat stakes, the respective runs to empty the bank, at 1% it’s 100 - 2% it’s 50 - 5% it’s 20. You must be able to withstand the storm until the sun shines again!

As for increasing your stake, how about doing it when you get in front, not when you're losing. If you never get in front, you'll never increase your losses. If you get ahead, increase your bets as a fraction of your winnings, say 25%. (eg. a 4/1 winner means you double your next bet or at 50% you treble your next bet). Soon as you have a loss, retain the other portion of your profits and go back to level stakes. This is not a staking plan, it’s just having a dip at the bookies when you have some of their money to play with – don’t do it with your own money.

As well as minimising losses , you need to capitalise when you’re having a good run. What happens if you get a treble with Bhagwan’s plan – if they’re all at 3/1 or better you end up 6 places down the staking ladder – all on winners. Had you simply doubled your stake on each winner, you would have ended up with final odds of 12/1 (as against 27/1 if you had taken a treble). But if the third leg loses, you still end up with half your profits plus your original stake (and the treble loses the lot). Do the sums.
Cheers.
PS: Not meaning to bag the Bhagwan – just prefer people to focus on winning, not losing. Here’s the sums:

Bet Number Bet Losses – Cumulative Treble bet
1 10 10
2 10 20
3 20 40
4 20 60
5 30 90
6 30 120
7 40 160
8 40 200
9 50 250
10 50 300
11 60 360
12 60 420
13 70 490
14 70 560
15 80 640
16 80 720
17 90 810
18 90 900
19 100 1000

Staking Plans arn`t for everyone .

Level stakes betting is the safest & most conservative.

The basic idea of this is to break even or profit where a level stakes situation would show a loss .

If one cant pick the winners at all , best not to bet at all .
As previously stated, check it out over past results.

I still like this staking plan, & have used it chasing the 3rd. TAB fav.with a couple of qualifing filters, just before jump, trying to make it fall over.
It`s still standing up, with a tidy profit.

Check it out.
It`s still standing up.
