One that caught my eye but i doubt will be on my list today was Lady That Lunches. Races further but i dont like any of the opposition. I think the odds you have up should be alot closer then the current $20 unitab is offering.
How do you think the mare will race 1st up oveR this distance? I wouldnt mid working a multi around her in my slush account as i see value in her and think its a very open race.
RECCOMEND?

Very tough race. As a rule, any race where the top rater has only 25 points ($4) is very open. I'm a bit of a Greg Ryan fan at these NSW country meetings, so I sort of like Sutton Crown in the race along with Eyewina and Tondano. Lady Who Lunches definitely has a chance though, and it would be good value if it remained at such juicy odds. I certainly wouldn't talk you out of backing it.

They're lucky it isnt on heavy ground because they'd have to put back the next race. This could be quite the slogfest as is. To be honest i cant pick anything to put in any multies with it. The 2 doesnt have 1st up from but might be like the lady and be one of those mile & a 1/4 horses that can sprint well fresh. Might abort, it just stood out enough for me to grab the bit when i was veiwing and the unitab odds pricked my ears. Just not sure i have the heart to keep going as its not my thing to be picking horses out that way.
Might throw a few bucks on over 10's e/w and buy lunch with the winnings.

Today when contemplating Playwright i noted one 2nd up run for a 9th. It turned me off instantly. I'm a firm believer in horses 1st, 2nd , 3rd up form is usually always precedented throughout its racing career. Most of the time i understand you need to check the particular class it was in when failing but i didnt go that far as the race was full of up and comers & felt going in with any risk wasn't worth it despite trying to justify where / when it ran 9th.
My question is when you do the ratings is that taken into account? Do you keep data suggesting that this 1-3 up form is playing any negative part in the ratings at all?
