![]() thx for that partypooper!
yes very interesting -- out of curiosity i did a quick check covering the 1st 6mths of this year the SP fav (metro meetings) N=1885 SR31.8% POT -11.9% IF it is justified to only look at Melb Syd and Bris then N=1277 SR32.7% POT -9.7% IF it is justified to only consider those that have had at least 1 run in their current campaign then N=1060 SR33.8% POT -5.4% IF it is justified to exclude heavy tracks then N=944 SR34.7% POT -3.0% IF it is justified to only consider last start winners then N=355 (approx 15 bets/wk) SR38.6% POT +1.3% the POTs are based on NSW TAB dividends i guess this lends some weight to your general conclusions i posted these figues out of interest not for debate

![]() Thanks Ixlato and others
I am fairly new on here and I am sorry about my confusing terminology. Step !...I was looking for comparable sites on line where i could find early prices (eg **************) and compare these with Herald Suns published prices. Sounds like the "early" prices are computered generated. Step 2...Then I wanted to compare these with early prices from Betchoce or IAS. eg. Geelong R1 H6 Tierno....Herald Sun $2.00 ..************** $2.50...Betchoice $2.80 Regards Ted Last edited by tedbluegum : 30th September 2010 at 03:07 PM. |

the following is extracted from the AAP site... Australian Associated Press (AAP) is Australia's national press agency and has been providing news and information to the Australian media since 1935. Almost all of Australia's main news media including 800 newspapers, 50 dailies, five free-to-air television networks, two pay TV networks, and 550 radio stations use AAP data and rely upon us for accuracy also, they sell what they call "NetForm ratings" on a subscription package (eg $485pa) this explains why most newspapers publish the same PPO and why you're having difficulty finding "different" free PPO if the Herald Sun is publishing different PPO then i guess they consider them to be superior and reason to buy their newspaper for those who follow PP fav you got an excellent dividend for Tierno today!
