I love Karen Knowles too but only when she was on Young Talent Time.

Put this in Excel

=LN("Number of races")/-LN((1-"Strike rate as a decimal"))

For a 35% strike rate over 10000 races

=LN(1000)/-LN((1-0.35))

Longest out would be 21.38

Smile

22% strike rate on 1 factor alone really does go to show whats important to developing a winning system.

And considering Malcolm tests over hundreds of thousand of races.

Cheers

Yes Darky, realistic gamblers need to be familiar with the theory of probability and large numbers. I cannot understand people gambling on gold lotto which has a probability of winning first division equal to 0.000000 correct to 6 decimal places (1/83,000,000). Apparently, anyone who drives to buy their ticket is twice as likely of having a fatal road accident!

Yes, but what are the chances of that happening if you purchase your ticket online?
