The more I look at this race the more I lean towards Helenus, espacially with the better odds. Still keen on Strasbourg e/w. Also having both in a few doubles.

The trainer really rates Natural Blitz's chances. could be some hope

My figures show that the race won by Natural Blitz with Plat Scissors runner up last week was far stronger on pace and speed than the other 3YO lead up races such as the Canterbury and Rosehill Guineas.

The finish of the Rosehill Guineas was extremely bunched with plenty of hard luck stories. That usually indicates a lack of depth and quality about the race...which makes me suspicious. The race won by Natural Blitz had a much more spread out field...with much better overall time and late acceleration.

NB and PS both deserve to be well clear of the others in my view. It's a shame they are both drawn wide and the track is wet. This years Derby looks like a 'chaos' race to me. Very wet track, best chances drawn wide....luck in running, fast lanes, slow lanes on the track will have a big impact.

To Redcraze and Cosmo,thanks guys!!!Backed Platinum Scissors,but halved my bet due to state of track.Took notice of you guys(thank God)and had an each way "saver"on Strassbourg,$10x$40,and it payed $13.30 the place on Unitab!!Thanks again guys!!

Nice one Angel, was away for Easter but Strasbourg made up for an ordinary punting betting day Saturday. Great place divie. Had it in 5 doubles going into Derby at prices of up to $2000. Second leg had Dash For Cash (2nd) and Gentle Genius (4/5th - $2000) so would have been having heartattacks
watching the Derby if Strasbourg had saluted. Thought it was going to take it down the straight but Clangalang just too good. Hope all had a win.
