According to my stats only 5 horses have carried more than 54.5kg in the past 30 years & won the Cup

A fair few of those 5 are recent times though? Are the overseas horses impacting the weights and reducing that bias?

Certainly would cut down the chances if that bias carries through today!

A lot more northern hemisphere visitors in recent times
